La Danse du Matin
Take 52 Week #29: Dance
This week, my husband and I have been belatedly celebrating our 20th Anniversary in France. As I sat on our terrace this morning, I was watching the shop owners and restauranteurs do their morning hustle – unloading boxes, setting up tables and shaking hands with each other. But then, within a few minutes, dark clouds rolled in. The street vendors quickly switched to tasks like unrolling awnings and moving mannequins out of the street, in perfect symphony with the flickering lightening and spinning, dancing clouds over the hills in the distance.
Thunderstorms are very common at home. But it is rare for me to have the time and the vantage point to just watch one slowly arrive. It felt decadent. It spit a few drops, but within a half an hour or so, the sun was out and a beautiful day appeared.
